Rianne Brink ’16
Major: Psychology

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Texas A&M University. My goal is to attend graduate school in the Fall of 2016 and pursue a doctoral degree in either Clinical or Social Psychology. I’m primarily interested in researching different treatment methods for anxiety and depression and raising awareness about other various mental disorders. I’m also interested in the effects of music on neural functioning. The opportunity to assist with research in the Brain and Gender Lab will not only provide me with experience needed for the future, but also deepen my knowledge and awareness on the various effects of gender in individuals.

Hailey Hoover
Major: Psychology
Minor: Buisness

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a minor in Business at Texas A&M University. I plan to continue my education by pursuing a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and in hopes to focus my research on psychotic disorders. From there, I aspire to have my own private practice where I can help those who suffer with their daily lives from these disorders. My involvement in the Brain and Gender Lab will help better enhance my skills in understanding gender differences and will better prepare me for my future experiences with gender differences in those who have psychotic disorders.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Texas A&M University. I plan on attending graduate school in the fall of 2016 for Clinical Psychology where I hope to attain my PhD. My dream and ultimate plan is to become a child psychologist and open my own practice. The experience gained from this lab will help me better understand gender differences of which I will be able to apply to my future career working with children and their parents. I know that being part of this lab will be highly beneficial and provide me with an insight to different perspectives in regards to gender.

I am currently a junior at Texas A&M University pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. My goal is to attend graduate school to get a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. I am interested in child and adolescent behavioral psychology, and hope to work in a hospital setting doing clinical work in the future. Through clinical work, I hope to assist in providing the same quality of life I enjoyed to children coping with ADHD, OCD, and autism. I look forward to learning more about behavioral research through the Brain and Gender Lab, and using what I have learned in lab in my clinical work.

Savannah Baker
Major: Psychology

My name is Savannah Baker and I am a senior here at Texas A&M. I was raised in The Woodlands, Texas, but since my family recently moved to Georgia it is considered my other home. I have two sisters, a brother-in-law, and one beautiful niece. Any second of free time that I have goes to my favorite organization on campus, Diabetic Echoes, which I am the president of. After graduation, I plan on going to medical school, but also plan on taking a gap year before then. My dream career is to be a pediatric endocrinologist and improve healthcare for children with Type 1 Diabetes, like myself.
